Part-Time Communications Media/Web Specialist
Shady Hill School, a private co-educational school, seeks a part-time communications media/web specialist with strong written and design skills to support the efforts of the Department of Communications. The position will develop and maintain website content; manage and create online calendars, develop email campaigns; increase the portal visibility and usage at Shady Hill; and identify key web communication vehicles to enhance the presence of Shady Hill to targeted audiences.
Additional responsibilities may include providing support in the areas of print publications; press releases; photographic support at School events; design work as needed; and other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications. Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
Requirements: Strong writing, design and organizational skills, including communicating effectively to web audiences required. Attention to detail a must. Familiarity with social networking and web-related media tools a plus. Experience in Photoshop, Indesign, Quark. Knowledge of Whipple Hill podium experience preferred.
Background in independent school environment or non-profit a plus, but not required. Occasional evening hours during peak times. Bachelor’s degree preferred with 1-3 years communication/marketing experience. Please submit cover letter, resume and writing and/or design samples to tina_hills@shs.org.
