Position Summary
Supervise a refinery Inspection Department that is responsible for providing technical support to refinery operations and managing the mechanical integrity of fixed equipment per API 510, 570, 653, & 580.
Department is responsible for providing fixed equipment scopes of work in support of emergency, routine, and turnaround maintenance.
Responsible for coordinating inspection resources in support of emergency, routine, and TA maintenance; as well as for mechanical integrity inspection programs and capital projects.
Facilitate API Risk Based Inspection program to manage fixed equipment mechanical integrity
.
 
Requirements
Work Experience & Skills Required :
Experience managing an API Risk Based Inspection based fixed equipment program
AND 
8 yrs of reliability or maintenance engineering experience related to fixed equipment (vessels, piping, exchangers) in a processing plant
OR
API 510 & 570 certification and 2 years of supervising a refinery Inspection Department 
OR 
API 510 & 570 certification and 10 years as Senior Inspector in a refinery Inspection Department

Education Required:
B.S. in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering OR High school diploma with the Inspection Department experience noted above

Work Experience & Skills Preferred:
Knowledgable in refinery fixed equipment standards, codes, welding, inspection techniques, and damage mechanisms

Physical Demands or Unusual Working Conditions:
Confined Space Entry into 18" dia. manways, climbing ladders
