Description

The successful candidate to join the Amazon.com team will be responsible for Workers Compensation Case Management for Fulfillment Centers in Delaware and Pennsylvania. This position is based in New Castle, DE and will require travel into Pennsylvania up to 40%.
  •  Monitor and manage Amazon’s workers’ compensation program
  • Manage onsite medical clinic and verify that the onsite medical clinic is meeting all required responsibilities.
  • Assist in the coordination with Amazon and onsite medical to accomplish all proactive safety activities.
  • Coordinate, track and manage Amazon’s return to work program
  • Work with third party administrator, risk management and/or legal counsel  to develop and implement plan of action for the resolution of open claims
  • Analyze and review site injury trends to establish pro active solutions
  • Review medical notes for accuracy and relevance
  • Assist and review as needed on-site medical/first aid services.
  • Communicate with outside medical providers as needed
  • Educate local management on applicable state and federal-laws
  • Review claim causation for possible subrogation opportunity and oversee all issues including partnering with risk management to pursue liens-, and approve subrogation settlement issues

Qualifications
  • 3-5 yrs experience of workers compensation adjusting experience or comparable case management experience and expertise. Multi-State in Delaware and Pennsylvania strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of modern principals of organization and claims management
  • Ability to build and implement processes with internal business partners
  • Knowledge of research and its application to workers compensation claims
  • Knowledge of medical and legal terminology
  • Excellent record keeping skills and the ability to drive a claim to final outcome
  •  Successful completion of a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
