Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Spanish/English Speaking Coordinator — Staffing Patients, where your bilingual skills and passion for healthcare will make a meaningful difference! In this vital role, you will coordinate the staffing and placement of patients, ensuring seamless communication between healthcare providers, patients, and their families. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment, streamline patient flow, and support the delivery of exceptional care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of patient services, fostering positive experiences for diverse communities.

Duties

Act as the primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking and English-speaking patients and their families, providing clear guidance and support throughout their care journey
Coordinate staffing schedules by liaising with healthcare teams to ensure adequate coverage for patient needs
Facilitate effective communication between medical staff and patients by translating and interpreting accurately in both languages
Assist in onboarding new patients, explaining procedures, and answering questions to promote understanding and comfort
Monitor patient flow to optimize scheduling efficiency and reduce wait times
Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, staffing assignments, and communication logs with accuracy and confidentiality
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address language barriers and improve overall patient experience

Qualifications

Fluent in both Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages
Prior experience in healthcare coordination or patient services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude that fosters trust and rapport with diverse populations
Ability to interpret medical terminology accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems or similar software is a plus
A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
