At Abacus Construction Services, we are a growing, family-owned engineering and design firm specializing in residential and commercial construction projects throughout Florida. Our work includes new construction, additions, remodels, permitting, and construction documentation.
As our company continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Revit Designer who can immediately contribute to our team. This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking someone with extensive experience producing complete construction documents in Revit with minimal supervision.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Revit Designer to prepare residential and commercial construction documents for permitting throughout Florida.
The ideal candidate must have extensive experience using Revit in a professional setting and be familiar with Florida Building Code requirements. Applicants should be capable of working independently, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and producing permit-ready construction documents.
This position is intended for experienced professionals only. Applicants seeking training or entry-level opportunities will not be considered.
A portfolio of Revit projects is required with your application.
Responsibilities
- Prepare complete architectural and construction documents for residential and commercial projects.
- Produce permit-ready drawing sets using Revit.
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D Revit models.
- Prepare:
- Cover Sheets
- Site Plans
- Floor Plans
- Elevations
- Foundation Plans
- Structural Plans
- Roof Framing Plans
- MEP Coordination Plans
- Construction Details
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers.
- Revise plans based on municipal plan review comments.
- Communicate with Florida counties and municipalities to address permit review comments.
- Ensure all drawings comply with the Florida Building Code and local jurisdiction requirements.
- Maintain company drafting standards and quality control procedures.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional Revit experience (Required).
- Extensive experience producing permit-ready construction documents in Revit.
- Strong knowledge of the Florida Building Code.
- Experience with residential and commercial construction projects.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, municipalities, and clients.
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with rendering software such as Lumion, Twinmotion, V-Ray, or similar.
- Experience coordinating structural and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of permitting procedures throughout Florida.
Requirements

- Background check and drug screening required.
- Ability to commute to Winter Springs, FL.
