Cameras, Door Hardware, Verkada & Security Systems
Position Summary
Advantage Technology is seeking an experienced Low-Voltage Access Control Technician to join our growing field team in the Frederick, Maryland area.
This position is focused on commercial low-voltage security work, including access control systems, Verkada cameras, door hardware integration, card readers, electric strikes, maglocks, door contacts, request-to-exit devices, motion sensors, intercoms, and related cabling.
We already have structured cabling crews in place, but we are looking to build another field crew closer to Frederick with stronger experience in access control and door-related installations. The right candidate should be comfortable working in commercial buildings, schools, offices, healthcare facilities, warehouses, and other customer environments.
This is a hands-on field position for someone who understands that access control is more than pulling cable. We need someone who can install cleanly, work around doors and frames, coordinate with locksmiths or door hardware vendors when needed, troubleshoot field issues, and make sure systems are tested and ready for customer use.
