Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service.
- Accurately process transactions using the POS system (cash, card, and mobile payments).
- Maintain strong knowledge of menu items to answer questions and make recommendations.
- Handle customer inquiries, special requests, and resolve issues professionally.
- Assist with packaging baked goods and ensuring orders are presented neatly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the register and display cases.
- Restock retail items, pastries, and packaging supplies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bakery team to ensure smooth service flow.
- Support opening and closing duties, including cash handling and reconciliation.
- Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred (1+ year).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset.
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Interest in bakery, coffee, or Asian-inspired cuisine is a plus.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
