Duties
- Safely operate a range of heavy-duty trucks such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, front loaders, rear loaders, and roll-off trucks to transport goods to various destinations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using manual handling techniques or specialized equipment to ensure cargo integrity and safety.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Drive in compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation laws while maintaining accurate logs of hours worked and deliveries made.
- Assist with securing loads properly on flatbeds or other truck types to prevent shifting during transit.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on trucks when necessary, leveraging mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical challenges swiftly.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and proven experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty trucks.
- Demonstrated experience with delivery driving, including load & unload procedures for various truck types such as dump trucks or roll-offs.
- Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of heavy vehicles.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes.
- Experience operating specialized equipment like front loaders or rear loaders is a plus.

Pay: $2,202.36 - $2,567.52 per week
