Civil Engineering Land Development Project Designer
Our Project Designers are key members of the team. As a Project Designer for Watermark Engineering Resources based in our Aurora, IL office, you will be responsible for creating the plans and specifications for commercial and residential development projects and ensuring that they meet all the applicable codes and regulations.
Responsibilities include:
- Site planning and design.
- Prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations for the project.
- Knowledge and experience with stormwater calculations and permitting.
- Experience with the permitting process for Municipal, IEPA, IDOT, MWRD, and NPDES.
- Ability to manage multiple resources (directly and indirectly) through project completion.
- Cross group collaboration with clients, our team, and other consultants.
Job requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in relevant land development Civil Engineering project design.
- Familiarity with current software used in stormwater management design.
- Understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic conditions, water quality and Best Management Practice (BMP) design techniques.
- An understanding of soil erosion, sedimentation control measures and knowledge of regulatory agency laws, ordinances, and regulations.
- Proficient with AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D a plus.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Detail oriented and the ability to generate clear and concise documentation.
- Great attitude and ability to work with a team.
- BS in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture; EIT also a plus.
