This is not an account management position, and it is not a role for someone who prefers to wait for opportunities to come to them. We are looking for a driven, competitive business development professional who knows how to identify prospects, open doors, build relationships and close new business.
You’ll be selling high-impact digital marketing and advertising solutions to businesses that want to grow. Our services include paid search, local SEO, AI search visibility, social advertising, streaming television, programmatic advertising, video production, website development and more.

What You’ll Do
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects
- Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, social media, networking and strategic partnerships
- Lead discovery conversations with business owners, executives and marketing decision-makers
- Identify client challenges and recommend effective digital marketing solutions
- Develop and present compelling proposals
- Consistently follow up with prospects and move opportunities through the sales process
- Negotiate and close new client agreements
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity and forecasting within the company CRM
- Collaborate with agency leadership, strategy and fulfillment teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to onboarding
- Represent Ascent Digital professionally at virtual meetings, conferences, networking events and industry gatherings
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual new-business goals

Required Qualifications
- Proven B2B sales experience
- Demonstrated success generating and closing new business
- Experience with outbound prospecting and pipeline development
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to communicate confidently with business owners and executive-level decision-makers
- Strong organizational and follow-up habits
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Self-motivated, accountable and results-oriented
- Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience selling media, advertising, digital marketing or SaaS solutions
- Existing knowledge of digital advertising, lead generation or marketing technology
- Experience selling recurring-revenue services
- Experience selling to home services businesses, franchise organizations, professional service companies or other small and midsized businesses
- A history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas

Compensation and Benefits
- $50,000 annual base salary
- Expected on-target earnings of $150,000–$200,000+ annually
- Uncapped commission structure with no ceiling on earning potential
