ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Blackhawk Helicopter Pilot for Weyerhaeuser Timberlands, a leading forestry and forest products company, which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in rotary-wing aerial work operations and firefighting looking to further their career in aviation services.

Serve as PIC or Co-pilot of the S-70 (UH-60L) Black Hawk helicopter in day and night aerial firefighting and other assigned missions, including aerial fire suppression, dispensing operations, external load, and reconnaissance.
Maintain dispatch readiness for emergency and non-emergency operations, including ability to deploy to remote roster assignments away from home base on short notice.
Ensure all flight operations comply with FAA regulations, USFS requirements, company manuals, and Weyerhaeuser SOPs — safely, effectively, and efficiently.
Maintain accurate written and electronic flight logs and records; stay current on aircraft systems, emergency procedures, and required FAA/USFS check-flights and training.
Collaborate with the Aviation Operations Manager and Chief Pilot on scheduling, safety priorities, and operational readiness; perform additional duties during shift as directed.

⭐️ 250–300 flight hours per year
⭐️ Potential to transition into Bell 206 & 212 for off-season operations

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Commercial Rotorcraft Certificate with Instrument (Helicopter) rating
S-70 / UH-60 Type Rating
3,000+ total rotary-wing hours
2500 PIC time
100 PIC Blackhawk
1,000+ hours Part 133 external load — vertical reference/long-line as PIC (no crew chief ops)
Current FAA Class II Medical
Must live within 60 minutes of McMinnville, OR or willing to relocate (employer relocation provided)

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
