Full Job Description

The Assisted Living Director will provide leadership and direction in planning, developing, and managing resident care services as well as supervising, coordinating, and evaluating the facility's clinical services while developing the clinical policies and procedures with input from staff. They will ensure that staff is appropriately trained, supervised, and follow facility procedures. The Assisted Living Director is also responsible for maintaining excellent quality in facility services and assuring that services meet all applicable state requirements. They may also be engaged in direct client care.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse licensed in Minnesota
LALD License in Minnesota preferred, but not required.
Bachelor of science degree in nursing (preferred)
three (3) years relevant LTC management and/or leadership experience (preferred)
advance knowledge of nursing theories and practices
experience in handling personnel issues
strong clinical skills and mentoring abilities
ability to effectively supervise, direct, motivate and evaluate staff while providing safe, consistent and quality patient care.
managerial problem solving and decision making skills
includes staff in planning and decision making
displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgement and makes timely decisions
prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans
observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

responsible for the general administration and management of the assisted living facility and its day to day operations
assures compliance with organizational policies and/procedures
monitors and evaluates structures, systems and processes in areas of nursing responsibility; ensures there is adequate staff to meet residents needs; understands and represents nursing interests and concerns in discussions and decisions related to resident care
performs other related duties as assigned
