Full Job Description

Client Overview:
Our client is a community-focused establishment that provides resources and public services for all ages. They serve as a local hub for learning, engagement, and community connection. They are currently looking to add a Part-Time Bookkeeper to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a temp, Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the library's finances. This is a new opening due to a resignation; the prior employee handled multiple responsibilities, including the library's financials. The Part-Time Bookkeeper will manage bookkeeping/accounting tasks and support the monthly financial reporting to the Board (first Tuesday of every month). Hours are 20 - 25 per week (max 25; some weeks may be less). The duration is 4 - 6 months with the potential to go permanent. Start is within a week after the interview.

Responsibilities of the Part-Time Bookkeeper:

Manage bookkeeping and day-to-day financial tracking.
Maintain and update records in QuickBooks.
Support monthly financial reporting for the Director/Board cycle (first Tuesday of the month).
Assist with other finance-related tasks as needed.

Required Experience/Skills for the Part-Time Bookkeeper:

QuickBooks experience.
Bookkeeping experience.
Open to part-time work.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Part-Time Bookkeeper:

2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or general finance support experience.
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or GED is required.
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field is preferred.
