Full Job Description

UNIVERSITY CLUB OF BOSTON, Boston, Massachusetts Babysitting Attendant

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Offer and provide for the emotional, physical and social needs of young children (3 months-age 6). Interact with the children and encourage their involvement in activities. Maintain a warm, safe environment that is orderly, clean and appealing.

Hours Needed: Monday through Friday 9a-1p; some weekends 9a-2p

JOB TASKS (Additional Responsibilities)

Cares for the needs of children.
Enforces club rules of safety and conduct in babysitting room.
Promotes babysitting department and its services to the membership.
Represents the club in activities as required.
Maintains and keeps all necessary records concerning accidents, child drop off/pick up and hours.
Manages babysitting area supplies and toys.
Maintains cleanliness in babysitting area, bathroom and changing rooms.
Maintains presence during scheduled hours.
Assists with holiday parties, crafts & decorations (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween, Christmas)
Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by management.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: Babysitting/child care experience with references; background early childhood development desirable; Must be a nurturing, caring, patient caregiver; Outgoing personality and ability to work well with children; CPR and First Aid certification required; Satisfactory completion of a CORI check; must be 16 years of age or older.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
