Full Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Program Manager to design and lead our systemwide leadership development and nurse residency programs at Rhode Island Hospital. In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to nursing leaders, fostering leadership capability, professional growth, and succession readiness across the Brown University Health system. This role is intentionally designed for a high-impact leader with significant leadership experience who excels in teaching, coaching, and mentoring emerging and experienced nurse leaders.

Responsibilities:

Lead and evaluate systemwide nursing leadership development programs for frontline, emerging, and experienced leaders
Coach, mentor, and develop nurse leaders through education, workshops, and leadership training
Oversee nurse residency and transition-to-practice programs, ensuring alignment with ANCC standards and best practices
Partner with nursing and executive leadership to identify leadership development priorities, succession plans, and workforce strategies
Design evidence-based leadership initiatives that strengthen engagement, retention, and leadership effectiveness
Analyze program outcomes and metrics to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate organizational impact
Collaborate across nursing education, professional practice, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure program consistency and quality
Support Magnet, accreditation, and regulatory initiatives while promoting a culture of leadership excellence and professional growth

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in nursing or related field required; doctoral degree (DNP, PhD, or EdD) preferred
Significant nursing leadership experience with success in manager, director, executive, or system-level leadership roles
Experience leading leadership development, professional practice, or nurse residency/transition-to-practice programs
Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop nurse leaders with excellent communication and facilitation skills
Experience influencing leaders across complex healthcare organizations; multi-entity health system experience preferred
Familiarity with ANCC Nurse Residency Program® standards, Magnet principles, and leadership coaching or adult learning methodologies preferred
