Job Overview: Campground Host

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Campground Host to assist with day-to-day operations of our charming and evolving mixed-use campground property. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety in their work, thrives in a dynamic environment, and takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences.

We are looking for someone roughly 2 days a week, as well as someone that would be available to fill-in for existing staff in case of emergencies or personal commitments, as needed. An additional day per week may also be an option, if interested. We are a very small staff and will work out an exact schedule together when we find the right person. Some weekend work will be required.

The ideal candidate is comfortable switching between roles and responsibilities as needed. From checking-in guests and resolving issues with a smile, to handling housekeeping and minor maintenance tasks, the Campground Host will help existing staff ensures every aspect of the campground runs smoothly.

Success in this role requires strong hospitality instincts, practical problem-solving skills, and a passion for building a warm, welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities

Assist with Daily Operations: Help with all aspects of daily campground operations, including guest reservations and check-ins, responding to phone calls, staffing the office and future camp store.
Guest Services & Hospitality: Foster a welcoming environment by responding promptly to guest inquiries, addressing concerns, preparing campsite or domes with guests' requests, and generally delivering exceptional customer service.
Facility Cleanliness: Clean and maintain the bathhouse a few times a day to maintain high standards.
Campsite Turnover: Monitor and assist with campsite turnover between guests, ensuring each site is clean, orderly, and ready for new arrivals.
Eco-Dome Turnover: Clean and restock items in the eco-domes between guests, ensuring each dome is clean, orderly, and ready for new arrivals. This includes doing laundry on-site and remaking beds.
Maintenance Oversight: Troubleshoot basic maintenance issues on-site and coordinate with professional service providers when repairs are beyond knowledge or skill level.
Team Communication: Maintain regular communication with the campground owner and manager, providing updates on guest activity, schedules, and operational needs. We are a small team that needs to work well together.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance campground efficiency, guest experience, or site aesthetics.

Skills & Qualifications

Self-Starter: Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively without close supervision.
Computer Experience: Comfortable using basic computer programs and software to manage online reservation systems, track guest check-ins/outs, and process payments.
Hospitality Experience: Background in hospitality, campground, or venue management is preferred.
Customer Service Excellence: Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction, safety, and creating a welcoming environment.
Conflict Resolution: Proven ability to address and resolve guest concerns calmly, professionally, and efficiently.
Leadership & Problem-Solving: Capable of multitasking, prioritizing duties, and making practical decisions.
Collaborative Spirit: Trustworthy and eager to contribute ideas and effort toward building a unique, regionally recognized destination.
Outdoor Enthusiasm: Passion for outdoor recreation and a genuine desire to help guests create memorable camping experiences.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
