Capital Digestive Care (CDC) a GI Physician Practice has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join the team!
This position floats between our Laurel, MD and Columbia, MD practice locations. The schedule is an 8.5 hour shift between 7:45am and 5:30pm.

What you will be working on:
- Register and greet patients and answer multiple phone lines
- Schedule procedures
- Verify Insurance
- Prepare charts
- Knowledge of billing, invoicing and medical records
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and prioritize
- Assisting clinical team in delivering high quality professional care while achieving optimal patient satisfaction
- Other administrative duties as assigned
What you’ll know:
- A successful applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- High School Diploma or GED required, some college is preferred
- 2-3 years prior experience working in medical office, preferably in an ASC or GI Suite
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Work independently as well as a in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with patients, co-workers and providers
- Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Must be a team-player with excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills
- Compassion for patient needs and a high degree of professionalism
