Nursing Assistant Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including inpatient care, urgent care, and hospice environments. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
Provide support in medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff.
Assist with mobility and lifting of patients to ensure their safety and comfort.
Deliver compassionate care to patients with disabilities and those requiring senior care.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
Document patient information accurately in accordance with facility policies.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient service.

Skills

Experience working in assisted living and memory care is desired.
Proficiency in taking and recording vital signs accurately.
Familiarity with hospice care practices and principles.
Ability to assist in urgent care situations effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient service.
Compassionate approach towards senior care needs.
Ability to lift patients safely while following proper techniques
Excellent interpersonal skills
Effective communication skills
Good collaboration and teamwork skills
Fast and adaptive problem-solving abilities
Keen attention to detail
In-depth understanding of patient care policies and regulations
Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for a number of medical conditions

First aid and CPR certifications
