Community-Minded Enterprises (CME) is seeking a Bilingual Long-Term substitute Lead Teacher for our Level 5 multi-lingual ECEAP site located in Central Spokane.

As an ECEAP Lead Teacher, you'll lead a classroom that fosters curiosity, confidence, and school readiness while supporting children and families through a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach. You'll work alongside a dedicated classroom team to deliver high-quality early childhood education that meets Washington ECEAP standards and helps children thrive.
What You'll Do
As the classroom leader, you will:
- Lead daily classroom operations in compliance with ECEAP Performance Standards, Washington Administrative Code (WAC), and licensing requirements.
- Create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences using Creative Curriculum.
- Document children's growth through Teaching Strategies GOLD observations and assessments.
- Complete developmental screenings using ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE and collaborate with families and specialists when additional supports are needed.
- Foster children's social-emotional development using Conscious Discipline practices.
- Build meaningful partnerships with families through conferences, home visits, classroom involvement, and family engagement activities.
- Coach and support Assistant Teachers, Classroom Aides, and classroom volunteers.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that reflects the cultures, strengths, and identities of the children and families served.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with ECEAP, Early Achievers, USDA, and organizational requirements.
- Participate in Early Achievers coaching, professional development, and continuous quality improvement activities.
What You'll Bring
Education & Experience
- Associate degree or higher with at least 30 college credits in Early Childhood Education.
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience; ECEAP experience preferred.
- Candidates who do not yet meet all educational requirements may be considered and placed on a Professional Development Plan in accordance with ECEAP requirements.
Certifications & Requirements
- Current Child & Adult CPR/First Aid certification (hands-on)
- Washington State Food Worker Card
- Annual Bloodborne Pathogens training
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
- MERIT Portable Background Check
- Current TB clearance
- Documentation of MMR immunization
Preffered Skills
- Experience with Teaching Strategies GOLD, Creative Curriculum, ELMS, MERIT, and ASQ screening tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to mentor classroom staff.
- Experience working with children impacted by trauma, developmental delays, IEPs, or diverse learning needs.
