Full Job Description

As a PowerPoint Presentation Creator (English Classes), you will create engaging, well-organized, and visually appealing PowerPoint presentations for our English language classes for families. Working from our existing lesson plans and teaching materials, you will design presentations that help teachers deliver interactive and effective lessons.

The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and understands how to present educational content in a way that is clear, engaging, and easy for both teachers and students to follow.

Candidates should be familiar with the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) and the broader New York public school system.

Additional consideration will be given to candidates who have teaching experience and are interested in teaching as well.

Job Responsibilities:

Create PowerPoint presentations for English language lessons using our existing lesson plans and teaching resources.
Design presentations that are visually engaging, organized, and easy for teachers and students to follow.
Incorporate activities, visuals, and interactive elements that support student engagement.
Maintain consistency with Diáfano's branding, teaching methodology, and presentation standards.
Revise presentations based on feedback from our academic team.
Work closely with our Founder and other teachers to continuously improve relevant curricula.
Use assessment data, student work, and other information to inform plans for student and class objectives.
Use positive reinforcement and social learning strategies as your way of teaching.
Prioritize each student's academic and social environment.
Understand and work in accordance with our mission and vision.

About You:

Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in education strongly preferred
Native-like level of proficiency in English
A deep belief in our mission and vision with a strong enthusiasm, passion, and energy
A deep belief in community building and bonding to achieve results
