We are seeking a Senior Technician with a focus on Structured Cabling and Low-Voltage solutions to join our Professional Services team. This critical role requires an individual with extensive experience and a meticulous approach to the installation and management of complex low-voltage cabling systems at diverse client sites. The ideal candidate will demonstrate profound technical expertise, leadership qualities, and a strong commitment to ensuring precise and efficient installations. As a Senior Technician, you will lead projects that enhance and transform the infrastructure of our clients’ spaces, directly impacting their communication networks and technological capabilities.
Salary
- $70,000 to $100,000 (depending on experience)
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Design, install, and maintain low-voltage cabling systems, including structured cabling, audiovisual systems, and connectivity solutions for various commercial clients.
- Lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring all technical specifications and codes are met.
- Troubleshoot complex issues in low-voltage systems, providing reliable solutions and enhancements.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to team training and development efforts to uphold high standards of technical excellence.
- Manage documentation related to project specifications, installation procedures, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, maintaining certifications such as OSHA 10.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in low-voltage and structured cabling systems, with a strong background in AV, telecommunications, or construction industries.
- Proficient in the installation and termination of a wide array of connectors and cabling (e.g., XLR, RJ45, TRS, BNC, F-CONN).
- Advanced knowledge of IP-based systems and network management.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel extensively (up to 75%), including overnight stays as required by project demands.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Professional certifications relevant to the industry (e.g., Certified Network Cable Installer, BICSI certification) are highly desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or technical training in electronic systems or related fields is preferred.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
