Full Job Description

The GSB Group, Inc., specialized in providing dedicated, quality financial IT professionals, is seeking a Business Consultant with MSP® Mortgage Servicing Software experience.

Position Summary

The Business Consultant – MSP® Mortgage Servicing Software serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for mortgage and consumer lending operations within the MSP servicing platform. This role partners with financial institutions, servicing organizations, and internal stakeholders to analyze business requirements, configure system functionality, optimize servicing processes, and provide strategic guidance related to loan servicing, accounting, investor reporting, accrual methodologies, and product setup.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of MSP servicing software, mortgage servicing operations, loan accounting, general ledger integration, investor management, and servicing product configuration. The consultant will assist clients in implementing best practices, troubleshooting complex servicing scenarios, and ensuring system setups align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide functional consulting expertise on MSP Mortgage Servicing Software.
Analyze servicing requirements and recommend appropriate MSP configuration solutions.
Assist with setup, maintenance, and optimization of servicing products, categories, and loan portfolios.
Gather and document business requirements.
Develop functional requirements and solution recommendations.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through system functionality and workflow enhancements.
Support implementation projects, conversions, upgrades, and business process improvements.
Configure and maintain investor and asset structures within MSP.
Evaluate when new investor categories should be established versus using existing structures.
Support investor reporting and reconciliation processes.
Assist with General Ledger (GL) Control Facility setup and maintenance and GL mapping.
Ensure servicing transactions post accurately to the general ledger.
Troubleshoot balancing and reconciliation issues between MSP and accounting systems.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience working with MSP Mortgage Servicing Software.
Strong understanding of mortgage servicing operations and loan accounting.
Experience with investor accounting and investor reporting.
Working knowledge of MSP General Ledger Control Facility.
Experience configuring loan products, categories, and investor relationships.
Knowledge of accrual methodologies and servicing accounting principles.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consulting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting financial institutions, banks, credit unions, or mortgage servicers.
Background in mortgage lending and loan servicing conversions or MSP implementations.
Understanding of FASB accounting requirements related to loan servicing.
Project management or business analysis experience.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements affecting mortgage servicing.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
