Our Omaha operation is part of a growing organization generating more than $55 million in annual revenue. We are continuing to build our leadership team as we expand throughout the Midwest.
Our culture is based on teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, keeping our promises, and treating customers and employees with respect.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Services Manager to lead the daily operations of our mitigation department in Omaha.
This is a restoration-operations leadership position. It is not primarily a sales, estimating, general construction, or facility-maintenance role.
You will lead mitigation technicians, crew chiefs, supervisors, and contents personnel while managing schedules, emergency response, field support, job quality, documentation, and team accountability.
The right candidate has built a career in property-damage restoration and understands what it takes to keep multiple emergency mitigation crews organized, productive, and ready to respond.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Lead and support mitigation technicians, crew chiefs, supervisors, and contents personnel
- Manage daily scheduling and dispatch for multiple field crews
- Conduct morning meetings and establish daily priorities
- Adjust crew schedules as new emergency losses arrive
- Coordinate after-hours and emergency-response coverage
- Visit job sites to coach employees, address problems, and verify work quality
- Ensure water extraction, structural drying, demolition, containment, remediation, and contents work follow company standards
- Review job documentation, photographs, moisture readings, drying logs, and project files
- Verify that equipment placement and drying procedures are appropriate for each loss
- Approve technician timecards and maintain labor accountability
- Train and develop employees while addressing performance or safety concerns
- Monitor equipment, vehicle, inventory, and supply readiness
- Communicate with customers, property owners, insurance professionals, and internal team members
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, administrators, and company leadership
- Ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and with excellent customer service
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- At least five years of direct property-damage restoration and mitigation experience
- Experience managing emergency water, fire, mold, storm, sewage, or contents losses
- Direct experience supervising mitigation technicians, crew chiefs, supervisors, or contents personnel within a restoration company
- Experience scheduling and dispatching multiple restoration crews
- Working knowledge of water extraction, structural drying, moisture monitoring, equipment placement, demolition, containment, and job documentation
- Ability to review photographs, drying records, technician notes, timecards, and job files for accuracy and compliance
- Experience training employees, setting expectations, and maintaining accountability
- Willingness to support crews in the field when necessary
- Availability to participate in emergency and after-hours response
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass applicable background and pre-employment requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- IICRC certifications
- Experience with restoration-management or job-documentation software
- Contents packout and cleaning experience
- Experience communicating with insurance adjusters and property owners
- Experience managing supervisors or multiple mitigation teams
IMPORTANT: EXPERIENCE THAT DOES NOT QUALIFY BY ITSELF
This position requires direct management experience in a property-damage restoration company.
Answer NO to the restoration-experience question if your background is limited to:
- Hospital environmental services, infection control, sterilization, or healthcare cleaning
- Janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, sanitation, or commercial cleaning
- Property, apartment, hotel, or facility maintenance
- HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or building engineering
- Roofing, siding, windows, gutters, solar, or exterior construction
- General construction, remodeling, homebuilding, or reconstruction-only work
- Painting, flooring, carpentry, fencing, landscaping, or home inspection
- Insurance adjusting, claims handling, estimating, or sales without direct mitigation-crew leadership
- Mold inspection or environmental testing without property-loss mitigation experience
- Asbestos, hazardous-waste, or environmental-remediation work only
- Warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, or unrelated operations management
These backgrounds may provide transferable skills, but they do not replace the required property-damage restoration and mitigation-management experience.
