Full Job Description

The Bill Dube Auto Family is hiring! Join our team and play a critical role in keeping dealership operations running smoothly.

The Automotive Accounting Clerk is responsible for accurately processing financial transactions related to vehicle sales, inventory, payables/receivables, and title work. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with sales, finance, and leadership teams.

What You’ll Do

Process daily accounting transactions including deals, deposits, and reconciliations
Post vehicle sales, cost of sales, commissions, and associated fees with accuracy
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Review and verify invoices, contracts, titles, and payoff documentation
Assist with new and used vehicle inventory reconciliation
Process dealer trades, flooring schedules, and manufacturer statements
Maintain accurate and organized records within the DMS (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, etc.)
Support month-end close, schedules, and audit preparation
Partner with sales, finance, and management to resolve discrepancies quickly
Ensure compliance with dealership policies, accounting standards, and state regulations

What We’re Looking For

Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred
Understanding of dealership accounting processes and terminology (deals, schedules, flooring, etc.)
Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack) is a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
