Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager / Packer to lead our warehouse operations and ensure seamless order fulfillment. In this vital role, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, supervise packing and shipping processes, and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency. Your leadership will drive inventory accuracy, streamline logistics, and uphold safety standards, all while maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Supervise warehouse staff, including packers, forklift operators, and logistics personnel, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols
- Oversee order picking, packing, shipping, and receiving processes to guarantee timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders
- Manage inventory control through regular cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and utilization of warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Coordinate transportation planning and logistics with third-party logistics providers (3PL), freight carriers, and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners
- Implement process improvements utilizing lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency
- Monitor budget adherence, manage procurement activities, and oversee warehouse distribution operations to optimize costs
- Utilize ERP systems such as AS400 or equivalent to track inventory levels, process orders, and analyze supply chain data for strategic decision-making
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision with strong leadership skills in supervising teams and managing daily operations
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain management including inventory management, distribution management, transportation management systems (TMS), and freight logistics
- Familiarity with process management tools like lean methodology and continuous improvement strategies
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (e.g., AS400), and supply chain analytics tools
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; relevant certification preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on process improvement, cost control, and operational excellence
