Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our healthcare team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. Duties
- Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop personalized care plans that promote independence and well-being
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, and mobility techniques
- Collaborate with other team members, including physical therapists, physicians, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care
- Support discharge planning with appropriate adaptive strategies and resources
- Document patient progress accurately using electronic health records (EHR) management systems and maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist with current registration to practice in relevant settings
- Proven experience working with individuals with neurological disorders, with Vestibular Rehabilitation a plus
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to occupational therapy practices
- Experience assisting with ADLs and developing tailored care plans for diverse populations including geriatrics
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation standards within healthcare settings
- Ability to work effectively with other disciplines
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in occupational therapy and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with patients, families, educators, and healthcare teams
