Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other bulk loads to various job sites. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, adherence to safety standards, and efficient load handling. Duties
- Safely operate dump trucks with manual transmission, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload materials efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks
- Transport freight, debris, or bulk materials along designated routes while maintaining punctuality
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, especially with commercial vehicles such as dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or roll-off trucks
- Skilled in route driving with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures for freight and bulk materials
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to freight transport and vehicle operation
- Ability to handle heavy equipment like forklifts when required for loading or unloading cargo
