Join a Credit Union Built for Working People

Metro Community Federal Credit Union is looking for a motivated, member-focused Consumer Loan / Mortgage Loan Clerk to join our growing team. If you enjoy helping people achieve their financial goals while providing exceptional service, we'd love to meet you.

As a Consumer Loan / Mortgage Loan Clerk, you'll play a vital role in supporting our lending department by assisting members through the consumer and mortgage loan process while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and outstanding member service.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist members with consumer and mortgage loan applications.
Gather and verify required documentation.
Prepare loan files for underwriting and closing.
Order and track appraisals, title work, flood certifications, and other required documentation.
Communicate with members regarding missing information and loan status.
Process loan documentation accurately and timely.
Maintain electronic and paper loan files.
Coordinate loan closings and funding.
Assist with home equity, refinance, and first mortgage processing.
Cross-sell Metro Community FCU products and services.
DMV title work
Ensure compliance with NCUA regulations, TRID, RESPA, HMDA, ECOA, Fair Lending, and internal policies.
Answer member questions by phone, email, and in person.
Perform other lending and administrative duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred).
Previous banking, credit union, mortgage, or consumer lending experience preferred.
Knowledge of consumer lending and mortgage loan documentation.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
