Job Posting: Math Teacher Position at Prestigious Catholic High School for Young Women

Position: Math Teacher

School: Fontbonne Hall Academy

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Fontbonne Hall Academy, a prestigious private Catholic high school for young women sponsored by the Sisters of Saint Joseph, is seeking a dynamic and talented MathTeacher to join our esteemed faculty. Fontbonne Hall Academy offers a superior educational program to form and empower women of confidence and compassion rooted in the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph — unity, reconciliation and inclusive love that embraces all of creation. Responsibilities:

Design and deliver engaging and interactive math lessons that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and student engagement.
Incorporate a variety of instructional strategies and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
Assess student progress and provide timely and constructive feedback to support their mathematical development.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate interdisciplinary projects and activities.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
State teaching certification in Mathematics or a willingness to obtain certification.
Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts, pedagogy, and effective teaching practices.
Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students to excel in mathematics.
Experience in developing and implementing effective instructional strategies.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents.
Commitment to the mission and values of Fontbonne Hall Academy.
