The Board of Fulton County Commissioners is accepting applications for a Part-Time Intermittent Housekeeper. The Part-Time Intermittent Housekeeper is under the direction of the Fulton County Commissioners and performs housekeeping duties for county facilities, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and safety. This position supports overall building upkeep and works on a variable schedule based on operational needs with an expected starting wage of $17.00 per hour.
Essential Duties:
- Sweep, dust, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs, offices, and other assigned areas.
- Clean facilities, furniture, fixtures, walls, flooring, and equipment.
- Maintain restroom supplies including towels, tissue, and soap.
- Empty trash and garbage containers.
- Move furniture and remove debris.
- Learn to operate and safely use cleaning machines and equipment as required.
- Attend required meetings and training.
- Assist with minor maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Acceptable Characteristics:
- High school diploma and three (3) years of job-related experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and custodial procedures.
- Basic custodial skills.
- Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull moderate weight.
- Ability to handle all matters confidentially.
- Good time management, communication skills, and dependability.
- Ability to work cooperatively with county officials and staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Ohio driver’s license.
- Ability to read and understand warning signs.
- Must be able to lift 45 pounds.
- Must be able to climb and work from a ladder.
