Copywriter — Performance-Based Pay | Fully Remote Genesis Marketers

We're looking for a copywriter who thinks in hooks, not headlines — someone who can write a VSL script that holds attention for ten minutes, then turn around and write a landing page that converts in ten seconds. If you've ever written a setlist or a song and understand rhythm, tension, and release, you already have half the skill set we need.

About the Role

This isn't a "write X blog posts a week" gig. You'll be the voice behind our clients' campaigns — video sales letters, website copy, and ad creative that gets tested, iterated, and scaled. Copy you write will run in front of real ad spend, and your pay is tied directly to how well it performs. We're not looking for someone who wants a predictable hourly check; we're looking for someone who wants to be paid like a partner in the result.

What You'll Do

Write video sales letter (VSL) scripts built to hold attention and drive conversions
Write and refine website copy — landing pages, product pages, and sales pages
Write ad copy for paid social and search campaigns, with an eye toward testing multiple angles
Collaborate with our media buying team to understand what's working in the data and adjust copy accordingly
Iterate quickly based on performance — this is a "watch the numbers, rewrite fast" environment
Bring a distinct voice to every project rather than defaulting to generic marketing-speak

What We're Looking For

Required:

Proven experience writing direct-response copy — VSLs, sales pages, or ad copy (portfolio or writing samples required)
Comfortable being paid on performance rather than a flat hourly rate
Strong grasp of persuasion, pacing, and structure — you understand why people keep reading or keep scrolling
Self-directed; you don't need a brief spelled out line by line
Reliable communicator — you're remote, so you have to be easy to reach and clear in writing

Preferred:

A music or guitar background — songwriting, performing, or just serious hobbyist experience. We've found that people who understand musical structure (build, hook, release) often write copy the same way
Experience writing for info products, coaching, or high-ticket offers
Familiarity with paid social or paid search campaign structures

Compensation

This role is paid as a percentage of the ad spend/campaign billing on the projects you write for — 10–15%, depending on scope and campaign performance — instead of an hourly rate. This is a pay-for-results structure: the better your copy performs, the more you earn. Full details on how billing and payout are calculated will be discussed during the interview process.

Fully remote.
