Senior Epic Hospital Billing (HB) & HB Claims Production Support Analyst

Location: 100% Remote
Job Type: Contract (Initial 6 Months with Strong Extension Potential up to 2 Years)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Epic Hospital Billing (HB) & HB Claims Production Support Analyst to join a large-scale healthcare technology initiative. This role is focused on supporting a live Epic environment by ensuring application stability, resolving production issues, and maintaining day-to-day operations during ongoing Epic migration efforts.

This is not a build or implementation role. We are looking for analysts with strong production support experience who thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day production support for Epic Hospital Billing (HB) applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, user issues, and application defects.
Manage and prioritize support tickets while meeting established service levels.
Perform application maintenance, system optimization, and operational support activities.
Support Epic migration and upgrade initiatives from an application support perspective.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement appropriate resolutions.
Collaborate with revenue cycle, clinical, operational, and technical teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Document incidents, resolutions, system changes, and support procedures.
Participate in testing and post-deployment support as needed.

Required Qualifications

6–8+ years of hands-on Epic Hospital Billing (HB) experience.
Strong experience supporting Epic HB Claims (preferred for Claims Analyst openings).
Proven experience providing production support for Epic applications.
Experience with ticket management, issue resolution, and application maintenance.
Experience supporting Epic upgrades, migrations, or production environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) Certification.
Epic HB Claims certification or extensive claims support experience.
Previous Epic consulting or contract experience.
Experience supporting healthcare organizations through Epic upgrades or migration projects.
Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle and claims processing workflows.
