We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated caregiver to support the social, physical, and intellectual development of children in our facility. This role involves planning, supervising, and implementing programs aligned with the Center’s goals and philosophy. The role primarily works with toddlers around 2.5 years old. This role is full time Monday through Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Foster a loving, secure atmosphere for toddlers by providing nurturing care, understanding, and positive guidance to support building self-esteem.
- Create flexible, well-organized classrooms that adapt to the unique needs of each child, blending structured and unstructured activities throughout the day.
- Incorporate developmentally appropriate activities alongside opportunities for free play, ensuring a balance that supports exploration and learning.
- Establish consistent daily routines to help toddlers feel secure and confident in their environment.
- Assist children with art projects, display their work at their eye level, and celebrate their efforts.
- Provide daily care reports for each child using the Brightwheel app to keep parents informed.
- Develop and communicate weekly lesson plans with themes to guide activities and involve parents in the learning process.
- Coordinate essential care routines such as diapering, feeding, and naps, respecting individual schedules as much as possible in a group setting.
Skills:
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Strong ability to interact effectively with children, staff, and parents.
- Ability to remain calm and understanding in various situations, particularly when addressing children's needs and emotions.
- Knowledge of techniques for promoting positive behavior and addressing behavioral challenges constructively.
- Must be outgoing, flexible, and passionate about working with children. The ability to take direction and collaborate with other staff members is essential.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- A certification or an associate's degree in early childhood education, social services, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Experience working with infants to preschool-aged children is preferred.
- Completion of 15 hours of continuing education per year, along with CPR and First Aid certification, is required (we will help you complete this)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and TB test.

Pay: $15.81 - $18.81 per hour
