Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Corporate Purchasing Manager to lead procurement operations across our client partner organization. This pivotal role involves managing procurement strategies, negotiating vendor contracts, overseeing supply chain activities, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations. As a Corporate Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for handling the procurement process, ensuring cost-effectiveness as well as on-time deliveries that align with company objectives. Key roles include managing and inspiring a 13 person corporate purchasing department, optimizing inventory levels, collaborating with cross-functional teams while making strategic decisions and implementing best practices within our procurement function.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
- Manage procurement processes utilizing ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to ensure efficient purchase order creation, tracking, and materials management.
- Oversee vendor contract management to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and procurement regulatory requirements like Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Conduct category management for procurement categories including manufacturing supplies, logistics, and materials to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Perform root cause analysis on procurement issues to identify process improvements and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on production planning, quality management, and logistics to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Skills
- Extensive experience with ERP systems such as AS400 for procurement management.
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation, vendor management, and procurement contract management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement regulatory frameworks including FAR and public sector purchasing standards.
- Skilled in sourcing strategies, supply chain management, and category management within manufacturing environments.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Deep understanding of procurement processes including pricing strategies, logistics coordination, materials management, and production planning.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
