Full Job Description

Position: Functional Medicine Infusion Nurse

Description: Well established Integrative Medical Practice (www.carolinacenter.com) specializing in the treatment of chronic complex illnesses using intravenous nutritional therapies, Vitamin C infusions, chelation therapy, and IV antibiotics seeks RN to perform weekly infusions. Primary office location is in Raleigh with satellite clinic in Wilmington. Candidate must have excellent IV skills to perform intravenous infusions, PICC line/Port access and dressing changes, home infusion teaching, monitoring patients, and working closely with MD on patient management issues. We currently provide IV infusions one day a week with the physician working in Wilmington one week every six weeks. This position has the potential to expand to two days a week. We will provide on-site training for IV therapies on Mondays starting as soon as able for 4 to 6 weeks, then specific work day will be any other day of the week. After the training period, RN will work independently. Prefer nurses with an understanding or interest in Functional and Integrative Medicine with infusion experience being the most important. This individual must be able to work independently, able to multi-task and keep up with a busy daily schedule. Friendliness, warmth and the ability to emotionally connect with ones patients is of paramount importance.

Considerations: Be aware that we are a small practice and operate on an out-of-network basis with insurance. We are cash only meaning our profits are lower and we are limited in our ability to be competitive in the salary we can offer. We are seeking those individuals who appreciate our healthcare philosophy, want to work in a more positive environment and who are willing and able to take a lower salary for that privilege.

Education : BSN, ADN or a diploma in nursing.
