Full Job Description

Property Accounting and Collections Coordinator
Location: Downtown Los Angeles

Responsibilities

Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
Update and accurately post tenant payments in Yardi
Review tenant ledgers and verify payment activity
Contact tenants regarding delinquent balances and payment arrangements
Track outstanding balances and maintain detailed collection notes
Prepare and distribute delinquency notices and account statements
Coordinate with property managers regarding tenant accounts and payment issues
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Assist with accounts receivable reporting and month-end accounting tasks
Use Excel to organize, review, and analyze financial information
Ensure all accounting records are accurate, complete, and updated on time
Handle sensitive tenant and financial information professionally and confidentially
Manage multiple deadlines and priorities across several properties

Qualifications

Prior experience with property management accounting, accounts receivable, or collections is required
Experience using Yardi property management software is required
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
Experience performing bank reconciliations is preferred
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable contacting tenants regarding overdue balances
Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve account issues
Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
Experience in residential or affordable housing is a plus
