POSITION DESCRIPTION
DEPARTMENT: Formulation and Packaging
JOB TITLE: Production Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
PURPOSE: This role is responsible for the planning and execution of daily manufacturing activities in the formulation and packaging of ImmuCell’s First Defense® products
GEOGRAPHY: Portland, ME
RESPONSIBILITIES: The following key responsibilities, although not necessarily an exhaustive list, are intended to represent an accurate reflection of the role.
Leadership
· Delegation of daily duties for team members.
· Supervision of day-to-day manufacturing operations.
· Arrange for on-the-job training (with documentation) of all new employees and process changes.
· Participate in weekly scheduling of operations with the planning team.
· Provide input during performance reviews and participate in discussions with employees.
· Assist with recruiting and interviewing new employee candidates.
· Approval of vacation time based on the manufacturing schedule requirements.
· Obtain USDA qualification for sampling and ensure others are qualified as well.
Operations/Compliance
· Coordinate powder lot releases and obtain lot numbers from QA/QC.
· Prepare batch records for each lot. Ensure all batch records associated with completed lots of product are competed and provided to QA in a timely manner to ensure smoot quality turnaround and release.
· Participate in the trending of critical process parameters and yields to ensure no drifts occur over time, with direction of the Production Manager.
· Review SOPs for accuracy to ensure repeatable execution of manufacturing processes by all Manufacturing Associates. Coordinate updating of manufacturing documents, as needed.
· Update inventories of raw materials and supplies and re-order as required.
· Provide inventory reconciliation sheets to Finance when each batch is packaged.
· Complete monthly Work in Process inventory counts to Finance.
· Coordinate with Shipping and aid on heavy shipping days.
· Provide input during regulatory inspections.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Demonstrated success leading teams and building relationships across various functions.
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline.
· cGMP experience at a USDA or FDA regulated facility.
· Frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds or greater (with assistance).
· Frequently move 55-gallon drums on drum dollies and pallets of material with pallet jacks.

Pay: $29.00 - $36.00 per hour
