Harmony In-Home Pet Care Services is a well-established and well-loved pet sitting and dog walking company, and we are seeking caring, responsible, trustworthy and all-around exceptional pet sitters to add to our great team. Must be flexible, responsible, well-organized and detail oriented, have great communication skills and a passion for pets. If having a full day’s schedule is a fun challenge and something you would look forward to, this position may be a good fit for you. This is not a typical Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5 PM job. This is a lifestyle.
This position consists of driving your own vehicle to/from each of the client’s homes to visit their pets while they are away on vacation or working long hours. We are looking for someone who has reliable transportation and is very prompt and timely. There is no set daily schedule. Your days and times are flexible depending on the needs of the client, and your own schedule. The position consists of mornings, afternoons and evenings on a part-time basis to start.

Requirements:
· Must have at least 2 years of experience working with animals as a professional, as a rescue volunteer, or in some other verifiable capacity.
· Must absolutely love all dogs and other animals, and be comfortable with all animals.
· Must be able to walk dogs of all sizes. Walking, stooping, bending, stretching and lifting are done repeatedly.
· Must have adequate knowledge of various animals and their necessary care.
· Must be extremely reliable (Taking a sick day is a rarity in this business. The pets in your care depend on your presence 100%)
· Must be comfortable with modern technology, as we use an online system for managing our visits and do lots of communication via text and through an app.
· Must possess incredible written and verbal communication skills. Nonverbal is key with animals, but doesn't always translate as well with their humans.
- Must have your own smart phone for use to communicate with clients.
· Must be a team player and have a positive, happy attitude about work.
· Must have a clean driving record.
· Must have reliable transportation. (Driving is a part of your job - mileage will be reimbursed for certain job locations).
· Vehicle must be insured, meeting state law requirements.
· Must be able to work and commute in all types of weather: including rainy, snowy, and hot days.
· Availability to provide overnight care at the client's location is preferred. Availability to work weekends and holidays is a bonus.
· Must be over 21 years of age.
· Must have a healthy sense of humor. (You will be picking up more poop than you can believe and are often covered in fur of all kinds).
Please note - you will have to pass a federal level fingerprint background check and a drug screen for this position. You will be hired as an independent contractor, not an employee. You must keep your own records and will be exclusively responsible for the payment of all taxes incidental to the compensation paid for services performed, including but not limited to federal and state income.
