Full Job Description

Location: Chicago or Minneapolis (Candidate must be open to relocation to either city)

Only Candidates who are authorized to work in the US will be considered for this position.

Resource will be responsible for end to end testing of VoLTE network deployment in identified markets. The task requires IP tracing in a complex network and multi-protocol analysis. Knowledge of Mobility and LTE architecture is required. Experience with SIP protocol and IMS based services is necessary. Experience with SS7 tracing, ability to discuss, identify and name the notes in a typical SIP call flow and the notes in an IMS/Application Server platforms and the function of each note.

Ability to document the test cases and be responsible for cleaning up discrepancies and ambiguity in the test. Including validation with architects to ensure the correct call flow, clearly and accurately document and discuss the discrepancies, anomalies or issues with the test case.

Required Experience:

Extensive Experience in Network Testing especially in Packet Core Testing or IMS Testing.
Solid understanding of IMS architecture (VoIP, Video, others), LTE architecture (VoLTE), UMTS architecture (CS Fall back)
Extensive experience in Test Case Preparation and Execution especially Systems test cases (eNB, MME, Packet GW, GGSN, SGSN, IMS Nodes) and Service test cases (VoLTE, Video, Data sessions, Authentications, Service continuity, Roaming, Handovers, etc.)
Solid Scripting knowledge (Bash, Powershell, Python, VBScript, Perl)
Expereince and expertise with testing tools such as HP QC, Spirent, IXIA, JDSU, Agilent, WireShark, AcceSS7

Deliverables:

Analysis of Proper call flow requests, responses and/or updates using Tracing tools to capture SIP, TCP, UDP and other LTE-EPC and IMS Protocols
Analysis of Telephony voice services to include call waiting, call barring, 3-way calling, etc.
Analyze the Proper operation with PSTN (landline) and PLMN (mobile networks).
Verify Proper operation of handsets in providing the Voice Services and analyzing QXDM captured logs..
Analyze Proper operation with various 3G and 2.5G networks For example switching back and forth between any of the applicable network types.
Document all results of analysis using Test Management tool.
