Full Job Description

Job Title: Physician Recruitment Coordinator
Location: NewYork-Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medical Center, New York, NY
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Contract Duration: 28 Weeks

Job Overview:

The Physician Recruitment Coordinator will support the physician recruitment team in managing the recruitment and onboarding process for physician candidates. This role will assist with candidate coordination, recruitment operations, database management, reporting, marketing support, and onboarding activities to help successfully attract and integrate physicians into the healthcare system.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
Previous experience in healthcare, physician recruitment, recruiting, sales, or marketing preferred.
Knowledge of the physician community and healthcare recruitment processes.
Understanding of physician credentialing and onboarding processes is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong grammar and proofreading abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with physicians, administrators, candidates, and internal teams.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computer systems.
Ability to conduct effective internet research and gather relevant information.
Flexible and adaptable to attend meetings and work across different locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Senior Director of Physician Recruitment and recruitment team with physician candidate recruitment and onboarding activities.
Assist with developing and maintaining knowledge of the healthcare system, regional communities, and physician opportunities.
Create and maintain physician recruitment profiles, job descriptions, and practice opportunity materials.
Coordinate physician candidate interviews, including scheduling, confirmations, and communication with candidates and hiring teams.
Maintain physician recruitment databases and track candidate progress throughout the recruitment process.
Prepare and analyze recruitment reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual status reports.
Maintain active search tracking reports and provide updates as needed.
Assist with physician candidate site visits, including travel arrangements, lodging, schedules, itineraries, meals, and welcome materials.
Support physician onboarding activities, including pre-employment requirements and new hire coordination.
Assist with academic appointment applications and coordination with medical colleges.
Coordinate physician welcome activities and recruitment events.
Support marketing initiatives, including physician recruitment websites, brochures, literature, and recruitment materials.
Assist with candidate reimbursement processes and expense tracking.
Maintain knowledge of physician employment agreements, compensation structures, benefits, credentialing requirements, and recruitment processes.
Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, credentialing guidelines, and healthcare recruitment regulations.
Identify opportunities to improve recruitment workflows, processes, and procedures.
Provide administrative support to enhance the overall physician recruitment experience.

Preferred Skills:

Strong project coordination and administrative skills.
Experience managing candidate pipelines and recruitment databases.
Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume recruitment activities.
