UCP Staffing is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team in a Director of Recruiting role. The Director of Recruiting is responsible for building, leading, and scaling a best-in-class recruiting organization that fuels UCP’s growth, client satisfaction, and workforce quality.
This role owns strategy, execution, performance, and accountability across all recruiting functions ensuring delivery of qualified, job-ready, safety focused talent while driving scalable systems, process excellence, and continuous improvement. Experience working in staffing and leading a staffing recruiting team is required. An in-depth knowledge and relatable experience in general and skilled trades construction staffing is also required.

Process
- Build, lead, and develop recruiting teams across all markets. Implement and enforce the UCP Recruiting Playbook & UCP University Training
- Share in-depth knowledge and related experience in general and skilled trades construction staffing with a team of talented recruiters
- Own and drive KPI performance across recruiting functions
- Standardize screening, skill verification, and onboarding processes
- Ensure 100% compliance before dispatch (no exceptions)
- Partner with Sales & Operations for workforce planning and execution
- Build scalable talent pipelines (trade schools, referrals, military, field recruiting)
- Optimize ATS, automation, and KPI dashboards
- Continuously improve processes using data and field feedback

Core Responsibilities for this Role:
1. KPI Ownership & Performance Management
- Own key metrics: Fill Rate, Time-to-Fill, Show Rate, Retention (Day 1/7/30), Redeployment %, Cost per Hire, Error Rate, Compliance Rate
- Build and manage weekly scorecards and dashboards
- Hold recruiting teams accountable to performance standards
2. Recruiting Engine Development
- Standardize screening, skill verification, and onboarding processes
- Implement trade-specific vetting systems
- Enforce zero-dispatch without full onboarding compliance
- Build repeatable, scalable recruiting systems
3. Leadership & Team Development
- Coach, mentor, develop, and lead talented recruiting teams
- Share in-depth knowledge and related experience of general and skilled trades construction staffing
- Build a culture of accountability, growth, and low ego
- Implement and scale UCP University training programs
- Develop future leaders within recruiting
4. Process and Continuous Improvement
- Standardize recruiting workflows across all branches
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements
- Use data and field feedback to drive continuous improvement
5. Talent Pipeline Strategy
- Build and maintain strong pipelines across all markets
- Develop partnerships with:
- Trade schools
- Military/veteran programs
- Referral networks
- Field recruiting channels
- Ensure an active bench of job-ready candidates
6. Technology & Data Optimization
- Optimize ATS and recruiting technologies
- Implement automation where applicable
- Build real-time KPI dashboards for visibility and accountability

Qualifications for this Role:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- 10+ years of staffing recruiting experience required
- 5+ years of recruiting team leadership experience required
- 5+ years of general and skilled trades construction staffing experience required
- Strong background in KPI and performance management
- Proven ability to build and scale recruiting teams
- Data-driven and process-focused mindset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Locations, Hours, Work Environment and Physical Demands:
· The individual in this role must reside in the Central, Mountain, or Pacific Time Zone for proximity to UCP Staffing locations.
· Regular hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
· The schedule and work location for this role may vary depending on the needs of the business. Availability to travel, and to work night and/or weekend hours can occur frequently and on an as needed basis.
· This position is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and/or hear for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or more than 50 pounds.
