Material Handler (Forklift Operator)

About the Position
The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, staging, and moving the materials and components used to build electrical skids and e-houses. This role keeps the factory floor supplied with the right parts at the right time — from switchgear, breakers, and enclosures to wire, conduit, and hardware — and maintains accurate inventory throughout the process. Reliable material flow is critical to keeping production on schedule. All work will be in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives and regulations

Day in the Life.
- Receive incoming shipments; verify quantities and part numbers against packing slips and purchase orders, and inspect for visible damage.
- Unload, move, and store materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, plastic carts and overhead lifting equipment.
- Pick, kit, and stage materials and components for production work orders and skid assembly.
- Deliver parts/materials to factory floor cells to support the production schedule.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions in the ERP/inventory system (receipts, issues, moves, cycle counts).
- Organize and maintain the factory, storage, and staging areas for safety, cleanliness, and efficient access.
- Handle long-lead and high-value electrical equipment with appropriate care and documentation.
- Prepare materials and finished goods for shipment; assist with cleaning, packaging, wrapping, crating, and loading.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventories; report discrepancies, shortages, and damaged goods.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting, equipment operation, and PPE requirements

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of material handling, warehouse, or shipping/receiving experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift certification, or ability to obtain one (training provided).
- Ability to read packing slips, purchase orders, work orders, and part numbers accurately.
- Basic computer skills for inventory/ERP transactions and scanning systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work on your feet throughout the shift.
- Experience handling electrical components or industrial equipment (switchgear, breakers, enclosures, wire/conduit).
- Experience with kitting/staging for assembly operations.
- Overhead crane or rigging experience.
