Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Screw Machine Operator / Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience in setting up and programming Citizen and Miyano machines within a manufacturing facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products while adhering to safety standards and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up and monitor Screw Machines to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Conduct quality control checks using calipers and other measuring tools to verify product specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand production requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Screw Machine Journeyman or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to set up Screw Machines and also troubleshoot any issues.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is preferred.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Experience with quality control processes to ensure product integrity.
- Ability to work effectively in manufacturing settings, demonstrate attention to detail and efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
