Math Instructor – Mathnasium (Highland Park)

We are hiring a Math Instructor in Highland Park to join our team and help students build confidence, skills, and a love for math. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with students and want to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, structured environment.

At Mathnasium, we teach students in a way that makes math make sense, and we’ll train you on everything you need to succeed.

Quick Role Summary

As a Math Instructor, you will work directly with students of varying ages and skill levels, delivering personalized math instruction using the Mathnasium Method. You’ll create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel confident, motivated, and successful.

This role focuses on instruction, student engagement, and building strong relationships with families.

What You Will Do

Teach students using the Mathnasium Method (no lesson planning required)
Provide clear, concise, and engaging math instruction
Build student confidence through encouragement and positive reinforcement
Create a fun, welcoming, and productive learning environment
Support students across a range of math levels (elementary through high school)
Track student progress and communicate with the team as needed
Assist with maintaining a clean and organized learning space
Deliver exceptional customer experience to students and families

Requirements

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Strong math skills (up to Algebra required; higher math is a plus)
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students
Enthusiastic, positive, and patient personality
Ability to build rapport with students and families
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Ability to follow a structured instructional method
High School diploma or G.E.D. required; some college preferred
Experience working with children is a plus (but not required)

Schedule & Availability

This is a part-time Instructor position.

Typical hours include:

Weekday afternoons and evenings
Weekend hours as needed
