Full Job Description

Position Overview

Dorvin D. Leis Co., Inc. is hiring an entry‑level Warehouse Worker interested in progressing into the HVAC Sheet Metal trade. This position supports warehouse and jobsite logistics and serves as a feeder role for the Sheet Metal Workers Local 293 apprenticeship program, a structured union career path offering long‑term wage growth, benefits, and stability.

Core Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, label, and organize sheet metal materials and tools
Deliver and stage materials at construction job sites
Assist journeymen with material handling and jobsite cleanup
Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (training provided)
Track tools, PPE, inventory, and delivery documentation
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Interest in HVAC, sheet metal, or mechanical systems.
Critical thinking and problem solving
Good verbal and written communication
Spatial awareness with the ability to visualize three-dimensional systems and layouts
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic calculations.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in warehouse and construction environments
Forklift experience preferred
