Direct Marketing/Mail Sales Executive
Job Summary:
The Sales Executive is a quota carrying hunter/new business development position that is responsible for driving profitable growth. Goal is to expand CDS market share and presence by providing value-driven solution sales activities with existing and prospective clients. The Sales Executive will proactively monitor and analyze market data to identify opportunities and develop strategic direction from market information to grow their sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
· Drive strategies, tactics and account plans to identify, qualify and secure new clients in assigned territory to proactively drive creation of the sales pipeline to meet sales targets.
· Drives marketing strategy and campaigning to support sales strategy for assigned territory.
· Utilizes business solutions and executes competitive sales tactics and makes compelling presentations of CDS solutions to effectively persuade and frame client opportunities.
· Coordinates deal crafting and positioning; enables client decision to close.
· Key initiator of creating and closing new businesses to drive profitable revenue within assigned territory.
· Manage effective and rapid movement of leads through the sales process, including developing and executing prospecting strategy to create leads/opportunities, qualification of prospects; assessment of potential client needs; presentation of CDS solutions; and expeditious closing of business.
· Leverage executive level contacts to develop greater account coverage and create demand.
· Recommend new value-add solutions through unsolicited proposals to create client demand and help customer identify and measure the impact of the proposed business improvement.
· Collaborate internally with business stakeholders and executives to identify and nurture growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or Communications
· 5+ years’ sales experience in direct mail/direct marketing, or variable printing
· Experience managing complex print and mailing requirements
· Competency with CRM tools for managing pipeline & overall activity
· Experience in working in a small company playing several roles in supporting the sales efforts (generating demand, key messages for targets, identifying targets and creating strategy for managing them through the entire sales cycle, etc.).
· Experience with managing trade show booths and activity.
Logistics of the position:
· Travel will vary and could exceed 50% based on level of sales activity.
· Onsite/Remote (Hybrid) role
· Reports to the Executive Vice President/Chief Revenue Officer.
Compensation:
This position is compensated solely on a commission basis.
