Full Job Description

Position Overview

The Course Operations & Faculty Support Coordinator ensures that MPP courses run seamlessly in a fully remote environment while supporting programmatic and event-based academic experiences. This role combines course administration, live session support, event and program coordination, and Google Classroom management to create a professional, engaging, and mission-aligned student experience.

Strong written and verbal communication is a core requirement for this position. The coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for students, parents, faculty, and internal stakeholders and must be able to communicate expectations clearly, professionally, and consistently across multiple channels.

This position directly supports MPP’s Elevating Instructional Quality (EIQ) framework, which drives faculty performance, student engagement, and WASC accreditation readiness, while also contributing to the successful coordination of virtual and hybrid academic programming.

Key ResponsibilitiesCourse Operations & Administration

Serve as the primary course administrator for assigned cohorts, ensuring operational excellence, program consistency, and mission alignment.
Manage weekly course logistics, including schedules, attendance, assignments, assessments, deliverables, and grading timelines.
Organize and maintain Google Classroom content to ensure professional, consistent, and up-to-date digital learning environments.
Draft and deliver clear, timely, and professional written communications to students and parents on a weekly basis to reinforce accountability, engagement, and program expectations.
Respond promptly and effectively to inquiries from students, parents, and faculty, escalating concerns when appropriate while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Coordinate assessments, including quizzes, midterm exams, final exams, and grading workflows.

Faculty Support & Live Session Operations

Attend all Saturday Zoom sessions for assigned cohorts, ensuring smooth virtual classroom and program operations.
Serve as a timekeeper to help faculty maintain pacing and instructional flow.
Monitor Zoom chat, verbally reinforce expectations, and enforce the C.H.E.C.K. I.T. Policy to support high student engagement.
Admit students into Zoom classrooms, resolve basic technical issues, and clearly communicate instructions or next steps during live sessions.
Respond to non-academic questions and alert faculty to academic questions to maintain instructional focus.
Assist faculty with grading support, submission tracking, and student deliverable collection.

Program & Event Coordination (Virtual & Hybrid)

Coordinate and support academic programs, orientations, assessments, special sessions, and faculty-led events, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with instructional goals.
Manage event logistics including scheduling, communications, digital materials, attendance tracking, and post-event follow-up.
Communicate event timelines, expectations, and logistics clearly to students, parents, faculty, and internal stakeholders.
Maintain documentation, timelines, and operational checklists to support consistent program and event execution across cohorts and terms.

Elevating Instructional Quality (EIQ) Reporting

Document weekly operational highlights, student engagement metrics, and instructional observations using clear, concise, and professional written summaries.
Submit EIQ contributions to the Faculty Development & Instructional Leader for integration and reporting to leadership.
Translate operational and engagement data into actionable insights that inform faculty coaching, professional development topics, program improvements, and accreditation documentation.

Key Outcomes (KPIs)

Google Classroom Accuracy: 95%+ on-time updates and content organization weekly.
Student Engagement: 90%+ compliance with C.H.E.C.K. I.T. (camera on and participation).
EIQ Contributions: Weekly submission of well-written, actionable operational notes.

Required Experience & QualificationsCommunication Experience (Required)

Minimum 2–4 years of professional experience in roles requiring regular written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience communicating with students, parents, faculty, or clients, including drafting professional emails, announcements, instructions, and reports.
Proven ability to convey expectations clearly, respond promptly to inquiries, and maintain a professional tone in high-touch or fast-paced environments.

Event & Program Coordination Experience (Required)

Minimum 2–4 years of experience supporting or coordinating programs, events, or multi-session initiatives, preferably in education, nonprofit, or mission-driven environments.
Experience managing logistics such as scheduling, timelines, communications, materials, attendance tracking, and follow-up.
Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of virtual or hybrid programs and events.
