Job Title: Association Manager
Location: Remote
Reports To: COO
Direct Reports: None
Employment Type: 1099 - Fractional

Position Summary:

The Association Manager will be responsible for expanding and deepening Maxim Consulting’s relationships with national, regional and local trade associations and their various chapters. This includes increasing engagement through education and training programs, speaking engagements, and special projects. The role will also oversee association-focused marketing, proposals, and social media initiatives that position Maxim Consulting as a leading partner to construction trade organizations.

Positions Measurables:

· 20% YOY revenue growth in Association revenue stream.

· 15% YOY growth of new Association chapters events.

· Maxim participation in at least three National Association events each year.

· 100% timely response to Association RFPs.

Key Responsibilities:

Association & Industry Partnership Management

Cultivate and strengthen relationships with ABC, AGC, SMACNA, MCA, NECA, CFMA, and other key industry associations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Association partners, ensuring alignment between association needs and Maxim programs.
Develop tailored program offerings to expand recurring revenue streams and long-term strategic partnerships.
Maintain and refresh course catalogs, presentations, and program descriptions.

Lead Generation & Conversion

Develop and execute lead generation strategies including social media outreach, email campaigns, and referral networks.
Coordinate and promote Maxim speaking engagements, thought leadership, and educational opportunities across construction associations.
Identify and qualify new client opportunities across underrepresented associations and trade groups.
Work with Industry publications to identify and manage opportunities for articles, blogs and podcasts and coordinate with Maxim staff to create content.
Conduct discovery calls and manage the sales process through close, including updating CRM systems to track activities and pipeline.

Program Coordination

Prepare and submit proposals, estimates, and presentations for national, regional and local conference/convention opportunities.
Coordinate with Directors and consultants to align availability and expertise with association opportunities.
Coordinate post-event/client follow-ups to capture audience feedback, speaker evaluations, and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).
5+ years of experience in association management, business development, or industry relations—preferably within the construction, engineering, or trade association sector.
Demonstrated success in building and sustaining partnerships that drive revenue growth.
Experience coordinating events, conferences, or training programs for professional audiences.
Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent).
Strong writing and presentation skills for proposals, marketing content, and speaking submissions.
Solid understanding of construction industry dynamics and trade association structures.
