Shift Schedules:
Two day-shift schedules and one night-shift schedule.
- Day Shift 1: Monday – Thursday, 5:30 am – 4:00pm; Friday**, 5:30 am – 1 pm
- Day Shift 2: Monday – Thursday, 6 am – 4:30 pm; Friday**, 6 am – 2 pm
- Night Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5 pm – 3:30 am
** Mandatory Overtime on Fridays for Day shifts.
Additional voluntary overtime opportunities are available based on business needs.
Overtime is not guaranteed.
Schedules and Overtime requirements are subject to change based on business needs.
Employment with M.C. Dean will be subject to a background test and drug screen.
Position Summary
The Assembler is responsible for manufacturing large-scale modular industrial systems by assembling products, components, and subassemblies according to specifications and quality standards. Working independently and as part of a team, this role ensures products are built safely, efficiently, and to customer requirements. Responsibilities also include inspecting assemblies, packaging finished products, and moving materials as needed. Successful candidates will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow technical drawings, assembly instructions, and work procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assembly of Products:
- Assemble large-scale industrial modules, components, and subassemblies according to specifications and work instructions.
- Install and align structural supports, including support beams, cable trays, ladders, conduits, equipment racks, and cabinets.
- Route, connect, and secure heavy-gauge cables, lighting systems, and other components.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized assembly equipment to complete assigned tasks.
Procedure and Policy Compliance:
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards, including PPE requirements and safe equipment operation.
- Adhere to established manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Comply with company HR, ethics, and workplace conduct policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing principles and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Inspection and Troubleshooting
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve fit, alignment, and functional issues during the assembly process.
- Recognize and promptly report defects, equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or process issues to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
- Document and communicate assembly and quality issues to support timely resolution and continuous improvement.
General Operations Support
- Package, label, and prepare completed products for shipment, storage, or distribution.
- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and related documentation.
- Assist with material handling, inventory movement, and organization of materials and workstations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S and workplace safety standards.
Teamwork and Collaboration
- Collaborate with team members, Team Leads, Engineering, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to meet production schedules and performance goals.
- Support testing, rework, and final system preparation activities as needed to ensure product readiness.
- Communicate effectively with production personnel, supervisors, quality teams, and logistics personnel to coordinate work and resolve issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in industrial assembly, manufacturing, construction, or mechanical trades preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions, technical drawings, diagrams, and assembly procedures.
- Basic math and measurement skills, including the use of tape measures, fractions, and tolerances.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly skills.
- Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve assembly issues.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing production requirements and priorities.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, eye and hearing protection, hard hats or bump caps, and gloves.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability and willingness to work at heights, in tight spaces, and on large equipment structures while using required fall-protection and safety equipment.
Work Environment
- Ability to work in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, varying temperatures, and other industrial conditions.
- Ability to work assigned shift schedules, including day or night shift.
- Ability to work overtime as required to meet production and business needs.
- Flexibility to work weekends and adjust schedules as needed based on operational requirements.
