Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the entire revenue cycle process, ensuring accurate coding, billing, and collections to optimize financial performance. Your expertise will help streamline operations, improve cash flow, and support the delivery of high-quality patient care. Duties

Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding, and DRG classifications.
Ensure proper documentation aligns with medical terminology standards for precise billing.
Submit claims electronically through EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, following payer guidelines.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies to maximize revenue recovery.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation discrepancies and improve coding accuracy.
Maintain comprehensive records of billing activities, claim status updates, and payment histories.
Stay current with evolving regulations related to ICD coding, CPT procedures, and medical billing practices.

Requirements

Proven experience in medical office settings with a focus on revenue cycle management or medical billing.
Strong knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding systems, and DRG classifications.
Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems used for documentation and billing processes.
Excellent understanding of medical terminology and medical records management.
Ability to navigate insurance claims processes and perform effective follow-ups on unpaid claims.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance companies.
